After a year’s hiatus, the familiar sights, smells and sounds of Steamboat Days flooded downtown Winona over the weekend, to the delight of residents and visitors alike.

While a few things looked different — like the COVID-19 vaccination clinic — the annual event brought back a host of local favorites: carnival rides, fried foods, live music in Levee Park and the BK5K Road Race, just to name a few.

The main event wrapped up Sunday night with a fireworks show over the river, but the festivities aren’t quite over: The Steamboat Days Car Show will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 26, on Third Street in downtown Winona.
