The Winona County Recorder's Office continues to be notified of solicitations being made to local homeowners to provide copies of recorded deeds for a fee. While it is not illegal to sell copies of deeds, a cost of $89 or more is excessive. A copy of the deed to your property is available from the County Recorder's Office at no charge.

The solicitations may have an appearance they are affiliated with Winona County. They are not.
