The Women’s Resource Center’s Annual Tour of Gardens – Bursting with Blooms will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13.

The self-guided tour will feature six of the Winona area’s most enchanting, exciting, colorful and surprising gardens, with master gardeners at each site to answer gardening questions and point out specific garden highlights. Garden owners include:

  • Helen Newell, S3561 Chicken Valley Road, Fountain City
  • Deb and Steve Larson, 1752 Edgewood Road, Winona
  • Barb and Steve Slaggie, 1870 Ralph Scharmer Drive, Winona
  • Carolyn Crawford, 526 E. Sarnia, Winona
  • Bob Ries and Craig Bratsch, 35388 Old Homer Road, Winona

This year’s Highlight Garden is the Winona State University Arboretum — 175 W. Mark St., Winona. Parking is on the corner of West Mark and Main streets by the Wellness Building.

Rain or shine, these gardens will be the highlight of your weekend.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at any of the gardens; as well as by email (program@wrcofwinona.org) and/or telephone 507-452-4440 (ext. 105).

All proceeds benefit the Women’s Resource Center. The Women’s Resource Center was founded in 1978 by a group of women committed to the common mission of ending domestic violence and sexual assault.

The staff and volunteers of the center continue to dedicate their efforts to ending these forms of violence and all forms of oppression of victims/survivors. Services include support groups for victims/survivors, community education and advocacy. For more information, find them on Facebook, visit www.wrcofwinona.org or call 507-452-4440.
