The Salvation Army has announced it will no longer accept donations of used goods at its Thrift Store & Donation Center located at 1443 W. Service Drive in Winona. The store will continue to sell existing merchandise until it closes on Saturday, June 29.

In a release sent to the Winona Daily News, the Salvation Army said it “is very grateful to the patrons of this store and to those who have generously donated merchandise. However, the economic and competitive pressures have created barriers to financial sustainability resulting in the difficult decision to close the store.”
