Winona police calls for Tuesday, July 31: Winona man accused of domestic assault arrested

Tuesday

6:58 a.m. — Shawn Michael Fort, 27, Winona, was arrested and referred for domestic assault and obstructing the legal process after deputies say he harmed a 32-year-old woman living on the 8500 block of Main Street in Stockton.

Monday

3:40 p.m. — A woman working at the Winona Public Library reported that several skateboarders had damaged the sidewalk outside the building the day before.

4:05 p.m. — Three men on work release from the Winona County Jail reported several items stolen from an unlocked locker they shared. Reported missing was a cellphone, charger, a pair of shoes and $250 in cash.

7:08 p.m. — A Winona resident living on the 1300 block of Skyline Drive reported a timber rattlesnake on their property. A snake handler was called in to relocate the animal.

8:34 p.m. — A Winona woman reported several young children attempting to break into a coin machine at the 5th Street Laundromat. The children were gone when police arrived. The officer observed no damage to the machine.

Tuesday

1:32 a.m. — Alison Jane Landwehr, 21, New Brighton, Minn., was arrested and referred for third-degree drunk driving after she was found passed out behind of the wheel of her 2004 Blue Toyota Highlander. Landwehr’s blood alcohol content was recorded at 0.26 percent.
