“It is always a thrill to put a spotlight on our members,” chamber President Della Schmidt said. “The Winona community is stronger when our businesses are excelling, and we have many business success stories to celebrate.”

The Family Owned Outstanding Business Award honors an individual or company that has transitioned to the next generation and has demonstrated success for at least 10 years under the new leadership. The 2018 winner is Mississippi Welders Supply Co., Inc.

The Entrepreneurial Success Award recognizes an individual who founded or took over leadership of a company when it was small (1 to 20 employees) and has since led the company to significant growth. The 2018 Entrepreneurial Success Award winner is Bernhard “Bernie” Brenner, founder and current leader of Knitcraft Corporation.
