Spring Craft and Gift Show

Come check out more than 20 vendors and crafters who’ll be showing off their best items during the Spring Craft and Gift Show Sunday at the East End Recreation Center.

The craft and gift show will start at 10 a.m. and will feature vendors such as Norwex, JR Boutique, Usborne Books, Lipsense, Young Living, Scentsy, Smooth Gator, Simply Stenciled, Candles by Nite, Bluff Country Crafts and many more. The first 20 people to walk through the door will get a free swag bag. Event is free and open to the public.

Mindfulness meditation and discussion class

Join Noah Rossetter — an experienced mindfulness practitioner and novice Zen priest — for two interactive sessions Sunday and later in June.

Rossetter, who studied with B. Alan Wallace and took a four year solitary retreat in the mountain of New Mexico, will lead a meditation and discussion class Sunday and June 3 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Infinity Yoga Studio, 117 W. Third St. Rossetter trains and serves at the Upaya Zen Center in Santa Fe as a Novice Zen Priest under Roshi Joan Halifax. Suggested donation is between $8 and $15.

  • Come get the kids ready for lemonade stands this summer with a class at the Bluff Country Co-op that teaching kids three recipes for freshly squeezed lemonade and will provide materials for making signs. Class is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the co-op.
  • There’s a line dancing party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Black Horse Bar and Grill for Dave and Sally’s wedding anniversary party. Public is welcome.
  • Come to Island City Brewing Company on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. in May for a free bike maintenance check.
  • There’s a pinball tournament happening at Broken World Records starting at 7 p.m. Sunday with prizes for the top three winners. Entry fee is $4 and registration is open until 6 p.m. the day of.
