Winona’s Mid West Music Fest announced its full 2016 lineup Wednesday, as it prepares for its annual April festival in downtown Winona, as well as this year’s expansion to La Crosse.
The festival, entering its seventh year, will be held April 28-30 in several locations across downtown Winona. Additionally, there will be a full day of programming April 16 in multiple venues in La Crosse.
The lineup features a wide variety of musical styles and genres, featuring old favorites and newcomers alike while showcasing the festival’s goal to spotlight the best up-and-coming musical acts both locally and from around the region.
Featured performers will include Winona favorite Charlie Parr, Jeremy Messersmith, Heiruspecs, The Heavy Set, The 4onthefloor, The People Brothers Band, and more. Local acts include Amanda Grace, Beet Root Stew, the Winona Brass Band, Driftwood Bones, and others.
The festival will also offer workshops, film screenings, recording sessions and more throughout the days of the festival.
Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current will be broadcasting from Winona, as will Daytrotter, a popular recording studio and website based out of Iowa.
