Crews continued searching Saturday for a 63-year-old Winona man who went missing from a boat off the Prairie Island Spillway Friday night.

Authorities were alerted at 7:24 p.m. Friday of boaters in trouble.

One occupant of the boat was rescued by a passing boater, but another occupant could not be found.

Rescue crews from the Winona area searched until 10:30 p.m. Friday and resumed at 6 a.m. Saturday.

Prairie Island boat landing was closed and people were asked to avoid the area.
