The Winona County PartnerSHIP is making the healthy choice the possible choice by creating an environment that supports healthy behavior. The PartnerSHIP is pleased to award $7,394.56 in mini-grants to support the great work of four area organizations, thanks to funding from the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership.

The City of Goodview will continue to promote and grow the Goodview Farmers Market to help increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables; St. Charles Public Schools will pilot flexible seating options designed to promote activity in the classroom; Winona State University Seed Bank & Library will promote this new community resource and provide outreach at several community events to help increase food equity; Project FINE will develop and distribute safe walking route brochures, a Farmers Market brochure and a customer and vendor produce guide that target the refugee and immigrant populations.

Through a comprehensive approach to local opportunities and challenges, the PartnerSHIP strives to make healthy options more accessible for everyone who lives, works, plays and visits Winona County.
