Solomon's Song and Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center teamed up to create a variety of mental health awareness events for the month of May. Their final event, "We are more alike than different: Unite Winona," will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 27, at the Winona Farmer's Market.
This will be an interactive art activity where participants will string yarn on pegs labeled with a different identifier that matches their identity. As each participant strings the yarn on the different pegs, it will eventually create the web that from a distance shows how unified we are and that we have something in common with every other human being.
