Senior Emily Johnson is the daughter of Mike and Trisha Johnson of Winona. Emily describes herself as hardworking, honest, humble and ambitious, and she lists AP Environmental Science and AP Calculus as her favorite subjects. Emily is active in WSHS track and field, Nordic Skiing and National Honor Society; she enjoys horseback riding, hiking and camping. Her role models are horse trainers Breezie Madden and Chris Talley. Faculty and staff describe Emily as considerate, sincere, dedicated, respectful and nice. She is a hardworking young woman and a great student, they say. After graduation, Emily plans to attend the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio, to double major in equestrian studies and business and her advice to students is: “Work hard, it will pay off in the future.”

Senior Grace Miller is the daughter of Jessica and William Miller of Winona. Grace describes herself as adventurous, strong willed, sociable and humble, and she lists Psychology and Spanish as her favorite classes. Grace is active in WSHS swimming and diving. She enjoys hammocking, river days and going to CrossFit at Warrior Risen. Her mom and dad are her role models. Faculty and staff describe Grace as helpful, hardworking, respectful, friendly and polite. She is an extremely kind young woman who always works above and beyond, they say. After graduation, Grace plans to participate in an exchange year with Rotary and then get a degree from a four-year college and her advice to students is: “Be kind to yourself and others and smile more.”
