The St. Martin's Miraculous Vacation Bible School, held July 15-19, is open to kids ages 4 (by Sept. 1) through the seventh grade. The bible school is held from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m. each day at St. Martin's Lutheran School, 328 E. Broadway.

There will be daily Bible stories, games, music, crafts and snacks, and you will travel in groups with other children on a universe-themed adventure where you will learn how Jesus saves the world. (Children entering preschool or kindergarten in fall will participate in age-appropriate activities under the guidance of a teacher.) No registration fee is required, although the school will be collecting a freewill offering each day for its VBS mission project.

Advanced registration is encouraged. You may pick up a registration form at the church office, call the church office at 507-452-6928, or register online. Visit https://vbsmate.com/StMartinsWinona to register. Registration links are also available under the Upcoming Events tab on the church website (www.stmartinswinona.com). You may also register in person in the church narthex beginning at 8:15 a.m. on July 15. Each family who registers for VBS will receive a free CD/DVD of VBS songs and a special gift related to our mission project.

The community is invited to the VBS closing worship service and picnic on Friday, July 19. The service will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the St. Martin’s church sanctuary and will feature songs and hymns the children learned during VBS week. Following the service (approximately noon) there will be a free picnic-style lunch served in the church basement/fellowship hall.
