The Minnesota POA Club hosted a benefit show at the Minnesota Equestrian Center in Winona on June 21-23.

The profits from the horse show are being donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester serving Mayo Clinic. The show profits, in addition to corporate support and private donations, brought the total donation to the Rochester house to $50,000.

A room in the new expansion area will be named for the Minnesota Pony of the Americas Club.

Exhibitors from states across the upper Midwest participated in the horse show. The youth of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa had been challenged to produce tie fleece blankets over the months preceding the show season and those gorgeous handmade blankets totalling 217 along with pounds of saved aluminum pop tabs were presented to the RMHC representatives which included a current family staying at the House at a special ceremony.

All children staying at the Rochester House receive a handmade blanket during their stay to take home with them.
