MINNEISKA, Minn. — Mary A. Husser, 92, of Minneiska died Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Marys Campus in Rochester, Minn. She was born March 23, 1927, in Perham, Minn., the daughter of Lawrence and Clara (Kern) Delaney. Mary attended school in Perham and graduated in 1946. She briefly worked for the State of Minnesota and met Markus Husser. They married April 18, 1949, in Perham. The couple moved to Maryland, as Markus was drafted into the U. S. Army. Upon his discharge in 1951, they moved to Minneiska.
Mary was an active homemaker, raising their seven children. She was a faithful and active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Minneiska and its St. Anne’s Society. She served her parish as church organist and a member of its choir for many years. Mary was also a member of the Red Hat Club. She loved watching the birds and tending to her flower gardens at home.

She is survived by her husband, Markus Husser, Minneiska; her seven children, Gloria Wiedenhoeft, Brownsville, Wash., Lawrence Husser, Lino Lakes, Minn., Terry (Linda) Husser, Rochester, Greg (Michelle) Husser, Ryderwood, Wash., Dan Husser, Wabasha, Heidi (Gary) Husser Meldahl, Rochester, Randall (Debbie) Husser, Rochester; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Marge Magistad (Jerry Warkle), Roseville, Minn., Lynn Moeller, Eagan, Minn., Pat (Julie) Delaney, Fridley, Minn., Mike Delaney, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Clara Delaney; grandson, Matthew Husser; and brothers, Jerry, Tom and Lawrence Jr.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Minneiska, with the Reverend Father Chinnappa Pothireddy officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Family and friends may call one hour before the service Thursday, at the church.
