FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. — Gary L. Bond, 81, of Fountain City died Sunday, May 26, 2019, at his home. Gary was born March 13, 1938, in Fountain City. The son of Lloyd and Florine (Turnbull) Bond.

He graduated from Fountain City High School in 1956 and later served two years in the U.S. Navy. He drove for Greyhound Bus Lines for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He continued driving motor coach for Philipps Bus Service out of Winona, until retiring from there in 2004.

Gary enjoyed living and working on his farm in Fountain City. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and a member of The Old Time Farm Fest Lions Club, in Fountain City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mrs. Willis (Ann) Stuben; and special friend, Robert Spading.

The memorial service to celebrate Gary’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fountain City, visitation one hour prior to the service, Pastor Greg Ferriss officiating. Interment in Fountain City Public Cemetery.
