Betty Jane Anderson, 93, of Winona passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Sauer Memorial Health Care, Winona.
Betty Jane Dalleska was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Winona to Ivan and Edna (Edalbach) Dalleska. On Jan. 29, 1949, she married Harris Anderson at St. Martin’s Church in Winona. Harris preceded her in death Oct. 3, 1990. For 32 years, she was employed with the Milwaukee Railroad, Winona, retiring in 1978, as a cashier.
Betty enjoyed winters in Florida for the past 25 years. She enjoyed traveling in their motor home. She and Harris loved to travel throughout the U.S. Betty also loved to sing and dance. She was a member of St. Martin’s Ev. Lutheran Church, in the church choir, altar guild and Bible study. Her faith was very important to her. Betty was also a member of Sauer Memorial Auxiliary and the Winona Health Auxiliary. She enjoyed biking, crocheting, knitting and embroidery.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harris; sister, Midge Wieczk; brothers-in-law, Leo (Doris) Anderson, Sylvester (Wilma) Anderson, Tenard (MaryAnn) Anderson. She is survived by nephews, Robert (Karen) Anderson and William (Debra) Anderson; cousins, Jerry (Ruth) Dalleska and Judy (Joe) Duarte.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at St. Martin’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Winona, with the Reverend Richard A. Moore officiating. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
