Richard J. Bellman, 53, of Winona died Monday Jan. 9, 2012, as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident.
Dick was born April 28, 1958, in Winona, the son of Wilton and Pauline (Zakrzewski) Bellman. He attended St. Stanislaus grade school and Winona Senior High School.
He worked at Goodyear/Wingfoot Tire for many years as a tire technician. His most recent employment was at CHS. Dick was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Winona. Dick married Pamela Anderson, and they later divorced. Years later, he married Kris Albrecht and later divorced.
Dick loved spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved trout fishing and hunting for deer, turkey and waterfowl. He could be seen almost daily at Prairie Island, where as a young boy he learned to fish and hunt with his dad and older brother. He had a big heart and was always there to help a friend in need.
Dick will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his two sons, Jacob Bellman and Adam Bellman, both of Winona; granddaughter Laci Bellman of Winona; grandsons, Hayden Bellman and Kort Bellman, both of Winona; mother Pauline Bellman of Winona; two brothers, Bill (Jean) Bellman and Jim (Mary) Bellman, both of Winona; a special aunt Bev Bellman of Winona; stepson Seth Anderson; step-grandchildren, Kallie Jo Beeman and Blake Anderson; stepson Andy (Laura) Albrecht; two step-granddaughters, Kirsten and Kaitlyn Albrecht; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilton, and a sister, Judy.
Funeral services will be at noon, Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home in Winona, with Pastor Christine Robinson, retired, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home in Winona, as well as one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona.
