Sue Haggerty will lead a program about hostas through La Crescent-Hokah Community Education.

Did you know that over 8,500 hosta species and cultivars exist?

Come learn all about Hostas: sizes, shapes, colors, growing conditions, enemies and more from Haggerty, who has a collection of over 800 varieties and has grown hostas for more than 19 years. Following her presentation and Q and A session, Haggerty will give a step by step demonstration of dividing methods for hostas.

And, if that’s not enough: Attendees will take home a handout on all that you have learned, a free hosta to add to your garden and a “early bird ticket to shop” Haggerty’s annual hosta sale.

The program is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at ABLE, Inc., 1700 Lancer Blvd., in the downstairs conference room.

Call Community Education at 507-895-5150 for information and to register.
