Do you love to play in a band? It’s time to toot your horn and join the La Crescent-Hokah Community Summer Band.

The band is in its 24th season and is looking forward to getting together with past members and inviting new members to join.

Community Summer Band, under the direction of Jeffrey Copp, is open to anyone who plays any concert band instrument. Youth entering grades 8 and older are welcome to be part of the group — it’s intergenerational. The band rehearses one evening per week, beginning in June, and performs two concerts. School instruments are available for use, or you can bring your own.

Jazz band is from 5-6:15 p.m. and band is from 6:30-8 p.m. Mondays beginning June 3. The director is Jeffrey Copp. There is no fee to join, but you must register with Community Education at 507-895-51510.
