Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton announced Thursday morning that he will be coming to Winona and Mankato to discuss flood preparedness and the spring flood outlook.

Dayton will appear with state and local officials at 1 to 2:15 p.m., Tuesday, at the American Legion, 302 E. Sarnia St.

Before coming to Winona, Dayton will hold a similar conference in Mankato, Minn.

Dayton will be joined by Adjutant Gen. Rick Nash of the Minnesota National Guard as well as officials from the public safety commission and homeland security and emergency management.
