A 15-year-old Winona area girl is in critical condition at a La Crosse, Wis., hospital after falling out of a moving truck that was traveling through Winona early Saturday.

The accident was called in at 5:01 a.m., at the intersection of Broadway and Winona streets. The girl had fallen from the truck and hit her head on the street.

She was transported to Winona Health's Community Memorial Hospital, where she was then airlifted to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

Winona Police are still investigating the incident although no alcohol or foul play is believe to be involved.
