The St. Charles Library will host its fifth annual Murder Mystery fundraiser April 20.
This year’s theme is “Crime and Pun-ishment: a Mobster Murder Mystery.” The interactive mystery is set in the world of 1920s gangsterland. Mobsters, murder and comic mayhem ensue after the mysterious death of one of the “family.” Audience members will have the opportunity to participate and help solve the crime. 1920’s attire is encouraged but not required. An award will be given to the best-dressed detective.
The fundraiser will also include appetizers and a silent auction. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Charles Public Library, 125 W. 11th St. Tickets are $25 in advance and can be purchased at the library or St. Charles City Hall. Tickets at the door are $30.
Consider contributing items for the silent auction, such as gift cards, gift baskets, wines, art pieces or other merchandise. Call Sharon Grossardt at the library at 507-932-3227 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Items can be donated up until noon on April 20.
