MINNEISKA, Minn. - Francis "Fritz" L. Husser, 75, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at his home in Minneiska. Fritz was born in Minneiska to John and Isabelle (Burbach) Husser. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. Fritz married Jeannine Brown on Feb. 11, 1956, in Minneiska. Fritz had worked for Badger Construction and Warner Swasey for 30 years, and had also worked for Brennen Construction in La Crosse, Wis. In his retirement, Fritz worked part-time at Walmart. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minneiska. Fritz's true enjoyment was flying and building airplanes right up to the end. He was a member of the EAA chapter. He made many friends through his love of airplanes. Fritz could fix or repair everything that he touched. He enjoyed hunting and later he enjoyed spending time fishing with his son. He also was very proud of his two granddaughters, Ashley and Abby, and all their accomplishments. He will be sadly missed by all who had the chance to know him.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannine; sons, Bradley Husser of Freeport, Ill., and Bruce (Megan) Husser of Buffalo City, Wis.; granddaughters, Abby and Ashley; sister, Laura (Lloyd) Long of Rochester, Minn.; brothers, Marcus (Mary) Husser and Leonard (Marie) Husser both of Minneiska; and many nieces and nephews.
