NEW HARTFORD TOWNSHIP, Minn. - Susan M. Boehm, 98, of New Hartford Township died at her home Monday, Nov. 2, 2009. She was born in New Hartford Township, Winona County, Oct. 15, 1911, to Tobias and Helena (Robbin) Thesing.
Susan married Henry Boehm in June 1931 in La Crescent, Minn., and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1965. She had been a longtime active member of Crucifixion Catholic Church in La Crescent, where she belonged to the Our Lady of the Snow Circle.
Susan is survived by three sons; Ervin (Marilyn) Boehm of Minneapolis, Joseph (Elizabeth) Boehm of La Crescent, and Ernest (Joanne) Boehm of Galesville, Wis.; a daughter, Elizabeth (Max) Richards of Galesville, Wis.; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by three grandsons, Anthony, Jonathan and Joseph Richards; three brothers and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, at Crucifixion Catholic Church in La Crescent, with the Rev. Gregory Havel officiating. Burial will follow in the Crucifixion Catholic Cemetery.
Friends and family may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crescent, where a rosary will be recited at 5 p.m., and again at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to Crucifixion Catholic Church or an organization of the donor's choice.
