tire Newspaper In Education Vacation Donation program which provides
newspapers to schools all over the Winona area. If you are interested
in making a donation please mention it to the customer service representative
who processes your vacation stop request.

The Winona Daily News sponsor programs in the community?
The Winona Daily News sponsors many community programs throughout the year.
Our support ranges from cash donations to non-profit 501 c 3 organizations
to the donation of newspaper space. We also provide prizes for fund
raising events like auctions. We are especially interested in supporting
organizations in which our employees volunteer. As a matter of policy,
The Winona Daily News does not purchase program or yearbook advertising,
provide donations to individuals or sponsor golf tournaments. Due
to the volume of requests, we cannot respond to telephone solicitations.
Requests for all donations including sponsorship must be made in writing

Will
someone from The Winona Daily News speak to my group?
The News editors, reporters and columnists are available to speak
to groups. To get a speaker for your event, please send us a written
request, highlighting the event, the number of attendees, the topic
you would like to hear about and the date of the event. If possible,

Does
The Winona Daily News have programs that use the newspaper in school classrooms?
The Winona Daily News, through its Newspaper In Education department,
has a variety of programs we provide to schools to utilize the newspaper
in the classroom. Teachers who participate receive newspapers, the
cost of which is underwritten in large part by The News. In addition,
we provide free curriculum guides and handouts for their students.
Many local businesses, individuals and organizations sponsor newspapers
in the classroom through the Partners In Education program. To find
out how to sponsor a class or how to get your classroom NIE program

Do
you give tours of The Winona Daily News?
The Winona Daily News offers tours of the building to school groups
and other organizations. The tours are led by Winona Daily News employees
and
visit all of the departments, including the Editorial Department
where our reporters write stories for the paper, and the pressroom
where
The News is printed. If you have a civic group or school group interested
in touring The Winona Daily News, just call Robin Baertsch in the
Newspaper
