7 p.m. Tuesday in Winona State University’s Somsen Auditorium. The lecture will discuss theories about why water is a prominent and frequent subject in Impressionism and what the social, economic and political trends are that influenced the artists who created the works.
The free event is sponsored by the Minnesota Marine Art Museum and the Ernest and Sally Micek Family in memory of W.B. “Bill” Gautsch, and is presented in cooperation with the Winona State University Lyceum Series.
