No one was hurt in the crash, but Winona County Highway Department assistant engineer Troy Alan Drath, 39, was cited for driving too fast for present weather conditions.
The crash happened at about 8:30 a.m. Friday.
According to police reports, Drath was headed westbound on Bethany Drive just west of Bethany, Minn., in a 2003 Chevrolet truck. He told deputies he was traveling about 60 mph on the gravel road through the fog and didn’t see a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 33. He entered the intersection and T-boned Mickel Jeffrey Frisch, 41, of Lewiston, who was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said.
He said the collision caused Frisch’s truck to roll over, but no one was injured in the crash.
Drath was ticketed and released.
