The nationally-ranked Winona State University women’s soccer team keeps rolling along.
The Warriors won their 14th consecutive game Saturday, beating Southwest Minnesota State 2-0 at Maxwell Field.
Sarah Colleran, a freshman from Caledonia, Minn., scored the first goal for WSU in the 11th minute, and Melissa Sellier added a goal in the 75th minute.
Lauren Sturdivant assisted on Colleran’s goal and Gina Florian picked up the assist on the other goal.
The Warriors, ranked No. 4 in the country, have not lost since a 2-1 overtime loss to Metro State (Colo.) on Aug. 30.
WSU, also the top-ranked team in the Central Region, hosts Minnesota State-Manakto at 1 p.m. The Mavericks are ranked No. 3 in the region and are in second place in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Steve Boussie scored the game’s only goal in the 61st minute to lift SMU to its first win this season in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The win for the Cardinals (3-13-1, 1-7-1) also put an end to a six-game overall losing streak and a 22-game losing streak in the MIAC, which stretched back to Sept. 30, 2006.
Bryan Neu had the assist on Boussie’s goal, which came at 60:32. It was one of only three shots on goal for SMU.
Jon Szafranski made six saves in goal for the Cardinals to pots the shutout of the Tommies (12-4-1, 6-2-1).

MINNEAPOLIS — John Fox won the 100-yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke to lead the SMU men’s swimming and diving team at the season-opening meet.
Fox, a graduate of Winona Senior High School, finished the IM in 59.41 seconds and the breaststroke in 1:02.03. He also placed fifth in the 100 freestyle (54.46) and 100 butterfly (57.78) and was seventh in the 100 backstroke (1:04.24.).
Nikki Farmer, a freshman, took eighth in the 100 backstroke (1:08.86), 12th in the 100 free (1:01.75) and 14th in the 100 IM (1:11.93) to pace the Cardinals women’s team.
