Hsu-Li will give a one-hour human interest lecture exploring the search for cultural identity through the personal story of her life as an “out,” Asian-American woman growing up in the rural South. She will discuss the obstacles she overcame such as racism, prejudice, stereotyping, homophobia and disability with Tourette’s syndrome.
