As stated, I said I would meet with any teacher or citizen, but not represent it as a board opinion in those meetings.
The question was asked about government experience and, according to the article, it looks like I did nothing but sit at board meetings, as an interested citizen, not a fixture.
I provided my resume to the Daily News, but none of the items were listed.
To correct that impression, this is what I have been doing for the last many years in the Winona Public School besides sitting at board meetings:
I have been a school volunteer for 41 years, served in many PTA leadership positions over the years, including being a charter member in the parent group of the former junior high school and a organizer of the first parent group at Winona Senior High in the late 1970s.
I have been an active member of Save Our Fine Arts for 19 years and also volunteered over the years for the WSHS Career Center, National Honor Society and the WSHS Band Booster Club. I have served on many committees, such as transportation, attendance, parking and community education. I am still a member of the WSHS Facilities Committee.
