The Warriors had a three-round score of 953, which was 41 strokes behind first-place Minnesota State-Mankato (912).
The tournament at Hastings Country Club also served as the second of three events to decide the 2008-09 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference champion. The final event is April 12-13 at The Jewel in Lake City, Minn.
Conference standings are expected to be released today.
“We’re in a spot as a team and probably out of the conference race,” WSU coach Robert Newberry said. “In the spring we’ll be playing for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, but we’ll have to play very well.”
Tyler Whiteley shot rounds of 80-79-76—235 to lead the Warriors.
Brady Strangstalien, the two-time NSIC individual champion, had rounds of 78-80-80—237.
Jim Knous of Colorado School of Mines and Beau Anderson of St Cloud State shared medalist honors with a three-round total of 225.
