9:35 p.m. — Police were called to the 600 block of West Fifth Street to remove an intoxicated man “causing problems” inside a residence. Upon arrival, they found James Arthur Davy, 48, in a rear bedroom closet. He appeared intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of violating his probation. Police also issued a ticket to Davy for possession of a small amount of marijuana after they found a small amount on him.
3:59 p.m. — Police pulled over a Chevrolet Blazer traveling 49 mph in a 30-mph zone in the area of Riverview Drive and Theurer Boulevard. Daniel Gasca Rojas, 20, of St. Charles, was arrested for driving after revocation, and police found a small baggie of cocaine in the vehicle. Police referred Rojas to the county attorney’s office for charges of driving after revocation, no insurance, speeding and felony fifth-degree possession of cocaine.
5:30 p.m. — Police cited Gregory Christopher Lappin, 18, of Winona for theft by shoplifting after he was caught stealing two packages of condoms worth $13.58 from Shopko at 405 Cottonwood Drive.
Wednesday
2:43 a.m. — An officer near the intersection of Broadway and Mankato Avenue observed a green Buick turn west on Broadway without stopping for a stop sign. The officer pulled over Patricia Kaye Woodford, 24, of Winona near St. Charles Street and arrested her on suspicion of drunken driving when she failed field sobriety tests. A breath test at the jail found her blood-alcohol concentration to be 0.15 percent, and she was cited for drunken driving.
