Elizabeth A. Bublitz, 93, of Winona died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Sauer Memorial Home, Winona.
Elizabeth Adeline was born April 24, 1915, in Winona County, Minn., to Charles and Elizabeth (Knecht) Ramin. On Nov. 9, 1944, she married Elmer A. Bublitz in Wilson, Minn., and he preceded her in death Aug. 25, 2004. She was a lifelong area resident and was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Winona. Liz worked for the Richard Maxwell family for 44 years from 1940 to 1984, when she retired.
Liz is survived by a nephew, Ronald (Rose) Ramin of Minnesota City, Minn.; a niece, Phyllis (James) Karsina of Ada, Mich.; and many great-, great-great- and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, William, Edward, and Walter Ramin.
Services to remember Liz will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Winona, with the Rev. James D. Nelson and Paul F. Welke, officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Casket bearers will be Chuck Ramin, Mark Merrifield, Scott Ramin, Robert Maxwell, Josh Woodard, Eric Ramin.
Memorials may be directed to St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Diabetes Foundation.

Phyllis M. Buege, 101, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Lake Winona Manor.
Phyllis was born Jan. 13, 1907, at Denver, Colo., to Edward Robert and Rose (Hostettler) Burns. She graduated from Rochester John Marshall High School.
She married Emil J. Buege on May 25, 1925, in St. Paul, Minn.
Phyllis was the first president of the St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Ladies Aid at Pickwick; was treasurer of the Pickwick PTA for several years; she was active in the Pickwick Fire Department and the Pickwick Mill Association.
She worked in the dietary department of Community Memorial Hospital for 23 years, retiring in 1987. She moved to Winona in 1988
Phyllis is a member of St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Naomi Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 28, 1964; sons, Gerald “Spud” Buege and Robert Buege; and brother, Roger Husman.
Phyllis is survived by son, Roger (Carol) Buege of Winona; two daughters, Joan (Leonard) Kulas of Winona; and Marilyn Pat’ Peterson of Seattle, Wash; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Richard Moore, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Wynn Buege, Micheal Buege, Tom Husman, Bruce Harem, Duane Schulze and Don Roessler.
Visitation will be held at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Monday at the church after 1 p.m.

Mary J. Hinrichs, 79, of Winona, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona.
Mary was born Aug. 11, 1929, in St. Paul, Minn., to Frank and Lucille (Dieckman) Freyhoff. She was raised in St. Paul. On May 15, 1954, she married Leonard Hinrichs in St. Paul. The couple lived there until moving to Winona in 1964. Mary worked for Winona Senior High School for 20 years. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Winona. Mary enjoyed sewing, traveling, and time with family.
She is survived by husband, Leonard; one son, Doug (Julie) Hinrichs of Goodview; two daughters, Debra (Brian) Mayfield of Tomah, Wis., and Diana (Jeff) Bartholomew of Alexandria, Minn.; six grandchildren, Amanda and Rebekka Mayfield, Derek and Chelsea Hinrichs, and Amber and Nolan Bartholomew; and one sister, Joan (Jerry) Marah of St. Paul.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a memorial service for Mary at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 13, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service, Hansen Chapel, in Goodview. Burial will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
The family prefers memorials be directed to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for breast cancer research.

Thomas W. Cramer, 43, of Red Wing, Minn., formerly of Winona, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Red Wing Health Center.
Memorial Mass will be held at noon Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Winona.
Visitation 11 a.m. to noon in the Visitation Commons at the church.
Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Chatfield, Minn.
