Woman injured in Buffalo County crash
By Daily News staff
.
One woman was injured in a one-car crash at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday near Highway 35 and Spring Creek Road near Alma, Wis., according to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department. Diane Leslie Wood, 59, of Salem, Ore., was northbound in her Ford Focus station wagon. A deputy’s report said it was raining, and standing water in the roadway caused Wood to lose control of the car, sliding into the guardrail. The car spun around and hit the guardrail a second time before coming to a stop, according to reports.
Wood was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Wabasha, Minn., with unknown injuries.
