Mohan, 33, replaces Josh Squires as the department’s school liaison. Squires moved to general investigations, Deputy Chief Paul Bostrack said.
Mohan worked the 3 to 11 p.m. shift for many years. He was a training officer and is in the Honor Guard.
Bostrack said he was “very excited” to have Mohan in the new position because he is “hard-working, conscientious and well-respected” in the department.
“He will do an excellent job,” he said.
Mohan is a graduate of Cotter High School and Winona State University.
