MINNESOTA CITY — Melanie Marie Albrecht, 49, of Minnesota City died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at St. Anne Extended Healthcare, Winona. Melanie was born in Winona on April 30, 1959, the daughter of Leonard J. and Marie E. (Hager) Albrecht.
She is a graduate of Cotter High School, attended the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Design and graduated cum laude from Winona State University.
Melanie worked in both Florida and California. She was a great artist and while living in Florida won the Purchase Award for one of her paintings at the Harris Co., where she was employed. She loved painting, animals and family gatherings.
Melanie is survived by her daughter, Enjola Albrecht of Fountain City, Wis.; mother, Marie Albrecht of Minnesota City; siblings, Wayne (Pam) Albrecht of Granbury, Texas, Debi (Paul) Charbonneau of Owasso, Okla., and Sandi (Bob) Nestark of Rollingstone, Minn.; a special partner and soul mate of 20 years, James Dunn of Minnesota City; and her beloved cat, Shadow. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard J. Albrecht.
Private family service will be held, with interment at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Winona.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hoff Funeral Home, St. Charles, Minn.. Burial in St. Charles.

ARCADIA, Wis. — Adeline Hoff, 88, of Arcadia died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Medical Center, Arcadia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Arcadia. Burial at Rest Haven Cemetery, Blair, Wis.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. rosary. Visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Ann Bruder, 59, of Winona died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at St. Anne Extended Healthcare, Winona.
Services will be at noon Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Winona.
Visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona, and from 11 a.m. until noon Monday at the visitation commons at St. Mary’s Church.
