The two teams were among 100 winners who received a $2,000 award to help fund their innovative idea and bring it to life in the classroom. They now will compete with other winners for one of the top three prizes — an additional $5,000, $10,000 or $25,000.
The ING Unsung Heroes awards program recognizes kindergarten through 12th-grade educators nationwide for their innovative teaching
methods, creative educational projects and ability to positively influence the children they teach.
The project teams consist of Moe, Adam Rislov, Nate Pollock, Victoria Bronk, Rick Kuusisto, Scott Hannon, Mary Jennison, Joel Bruels, Ted Stuckmayer, Scott Lowery, Kristen Wicks, Terri Spartz, Lindsay Mather and Marji Ford.
