Friday
9:30 a.m. — Police received a report of a burglary from a house in the 250 block of East Third Street. Police said someone entered an unlocked house between 4 and 5 p.m. Thursday and took a Toshiba laptop computer. The value was unknown, and there are no suspects.
3:50 p.m. — Police cited Jacob Michael Warner, 22, of Hastings, Minn., for theft after he used a car wash token valued at $5, which had been stolen by an acquaintance who worked at Fleet Farm. That acquaintance, Ethan Delbert Goodroad, 18, of Winona was also cited for theft. Goodroad was employed at Fleet Farm and police say he took items valued at $68.45 over a period of time. Those items included a Ruko knife, a buck knife, a masterlock padlock, a feeler gauge, Allen arrow silencers, Peerless Chain quick links, a No. 2 Phillips power bit, a car wash token, arrow tips and a Torx socket driver.
Saturday
6:20 a.m. — Police were called to a home in the 1050 block of East Wabasha Street where they arrested Timothy Joseph Bruss, 30, of Winona for violating a harassment restraining order. Police said Bruss had contact with an ex-girlfriend who had a restraining order against him. Police said the two had a fight. Later the next morning, Bruss reported a burglary at his residence where a coffee table was tipped over and a pack of Keystone Light beer was missing. No other items of value were reported missing.
4:10 p.m. — Police on foot patrol ticketed Nathan Henry Grossell, 53, of Winona for public consumption and public nuisance when they noticed him at the east end of Levee Park. Police said he had beer cans strewn about, with one 40-ounce bottle in a paper bag near him. Snack wrappers, trash, urine and feces were also in near him.
7 p.m. — Dispatchers received an anonymous report of a drunken man at the East End Boat Harbor. When police arrived, they noticed a boat that was attached to the trailer crookedly. The brake lights didn’t work and neither did the turn signals, according to police reports. Officers pulled over Brandon Jay Bjornson, 32, of Winona and administered field sobriety tests, which he failed. Police then took him into custody, where his blood-alcohol content measured 0.17 percent. He was ticketed for third-degree DWI.
Sunday
11:59 p.m. — Police noticed a man urinating on the tires of a crane parked in a parking lot, near the intersection of Mark and Huff Streets. The man started running from the officers, who caught up to him. He was taken to the ground. He had slurred speech and later admitted to urinating on the crane. Andrew Ross Schroeder, 18, of Winona was ticketed for underage consumption, fleeing police on foot and public urination.

Friday
1:45 a.m. — A deputy clocked a car traveling at 75 mph northbound on U.S. Highway 61, near the Huff Street intersection in Winona. The speed limit in that area is 55 mph. The deputy stopped the car and had speed readings of 74 and 75. The deputy also noticed a strong smell of alcohol. Michael Dennis Woychek, 22, of Winona failed field sobriety tests and had a 0.14 blood-alcohol content at the Law Enforcement Center, where he was cited for fourth-degree DWI.
