WSU names alumni relations director

Winona State University has appointed Mike Swenson as the new director of alumni relations.

Swenson has served as interim director of alumni relations since November 2007. He began his work there as associate director in 2006 and has previously worked in the office of university advancement as director of major gifts, and in admissions as a counselor. Swenson also did admissions work doing enrollment management at West Suburban College of Nursing in Oak Park, Ill.
During his tenure in alumni relations, Swenson led the development of an online alumni network and worked on a comprehensive alumni relations program.

Swenson earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2001 and his master’s degree in education leadership in 2005, both at Winona State.
