1:10 a.m. — A deputy clocked a red Chevrolet Monte Carlo going 66 mph in a 55-mph zone on County Road 29. The deputy pulled over the weaving car and arrested the driver, Ronald Alan Moger, 43, of Lewiston, Minn., on suspicion of drunken driving and speeding. A breath test found Moger’s blood-alcohol concentration to be 0.25 percent.
2:06 a.m. — Two St. Charles, Minn., men were taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 74 in Whitewater State Park. They said they swerved to avoid a deer on a sharp curve, went off the road and hit a retaining wall. Jose Luis Fuentez-Gonzalez, 34, suffered scratches on his face, abdomen and ribcage and a cut on his hand. Jose Asencion Somano, 19, suffered a laceration to his right leg. Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said alcohol was a factor, and the crash is under investigation to see who was driving and whether charges need to be filed.

2:41 a.m. — Police arrested Cecilio Garcia Gonzalez, 32, of Winona on suspicion of domestic assault after a 28-year-old woman reported he threw a glass of wine at her, punched her four or five times in the face and threatened young children who were present in the home in the 650 block of East Second Street. Gonzalez was charged Monday with gross misdemeanor domestic assault, misdemeanor assault and child endangerment.
11:35 p.m. — Police were dispatched to an apartment in the 100 block of East Sanborn Street on a report of a stolen Toshiba laptop worth about $2,000. The woman, 20, who reported it stolen said she had some guests earlier, and after they left, she noticed the computer was gone. The woman gave officers the names of the people in the apartment, but no one has admitted taking the laptop.
