Man, 78, dies in Minneapolis pool

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A 78-year-old man drowned Monday night in the swimming pool at his condominium in downtown Minneapolis, authorities said.

A resident had found Wilfred Palmer Anderson, who had been swimming laps earlier in the evening, at the bottom of the pool in The Towers.
Rescue crews tried to resuscitate Anderson for about a half hour before pronouncing him dead.

The Hennepin County medical examiner ruled the death an accidental drowning.
