Winona

Wednesday

8:25 p.m. — Two 16-year-old girls were cited for shoplifting at Fleet Farm. One of the girls shoved a children’s fire department rain jacket in the other’s purse, and the two tried to walk out of the store.

Thursday

9:37 a.m. — Police cited a 17-year-old boy for misdemeanor theft from the Shopko parking lot. The boy was caught looking through a vehicle, from which he stole a Nintendo DS game. The Goodview police located him in Goodview, and he was turned over to Winona police.

Friday

12:57 a.m. — Police cited Nicholas Aaron Kulig, 20, of Arcadia, Wis., for public urination, minor consumption and possession of another’s ID. Officers observed Kulig urinating in the alley next to Brother’s Bar, and Kulig took off running until police stopped him in the Hardee’s parking lot. He smelled of alcohol and blew a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.166 percent. He was cited and released.

2:30 a.m. — Police cited Brent Steven Brookshaw, 21, of Winona with fourth-degree driving while intoxicated. Brookshaw failed to stop at a red light at Broadway and Franklin Street, and police caught him at the intersection of Wabasha and Kansas streets. He failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the police station, where his blood-alcohol concentration was measured at 0.15 percent. He was released.
