4:36 p.m. — An officer ran license plates on a car in the area of Sanborn and High Forest streets and found the plates were supposed to be impounded for an alcohol-related offense. The officer pulled over Shawn Christopher Britson, 27, of Winona and discovered he had two stolen license tabs. Britson had a 2009 tab on the front plate that had been taken off of a trailer on East King Street and a 2008 sticker from a junked car that belonged to someone in Lewiston. Britson was arrested and referred to the county attorney for charges of using revoked license plates, possession of stolen property and attempt to escape motor vehicle tax.
