TREMPEALEAU, Wis. — Blanche A. Kulas, 95, of Trempealeau died on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at noon Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, Wis.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, where the recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:45 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday at the church.

FOUNTAIN, Minn. — Norma B. Hareldson, 72, of Fountain died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, Minn.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Fountain Lutheran Church in Fountain. Burial in Lanesboro Cemetery.

ALTURA, Minn. — Kermit K. Verthein, 83, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at his home in Altura.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior Moravian Church in Altura. Burial will be in the Moravian Cemetery in Bethany, Minn.

Delores Mae Lorenz
Oct. 27, 1929 — Aug. 7, 2008
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Delores Mae Lorenz, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008.
She was born in Arcadia, Wis., on Oct. 27, 1929, to Alphonse and Lillian (Roessl) Schmitt. She went on to marry Beldon Lorenz on May 12, 1947. They lived together 61 years.
Delores worked many years at the La Crosse Garment Factory, Outers and the La Crosse Tribune, which she really loved.
She was a happy-go-lucky person who was always smiling.
Delores is survived by Beldon, her lifelong partner, friend and husband. Out of that marriage came nine children, one of whom preceded her in death. Also surviving her is her daughter, Belva White, and her children, James Burks Sr., James Burks Jr., Jamie Burks, John Burks, and Ron White, son, Donald “Viner” (Mary) Lorenz, and children, Ryan, Mike, Wade, and Tyler Lorenz and Sara (Martes) Sheard; son, Belwood “Butch” Lorenz (Kathy) and children, Katrina, Bobby, Kimmy, Billy, and Annie Lorenz; son, Belmont “Tiny” Lorenz (Virginia) and children, Tina, Johnny, and Kayla Lorenz, and Michelle Sivanich; daughter, Belinda Lorenz, and her daughter, Jasmine; daughter, Belaine (Tom) Roberts and children, Thad and Tonya Van Riper; daughter, Belrey Lorenz (Fonz), and children, Danielle Shores and Shanielle Lenoir; and daughter, Belissa (David) Calloway, and daughter, Savanna, Leanna, Deanna, and David Jr. She is also survived by many, many great grandchildren; a brother, Russell (Jean) Schmitt, of Mondovi, Wis.; two sisters, Louetta Ellis of Marita Beach, Mich., and Sharon Googins of Minnesota City, Minn.; several nieces and nephews, and sisters and brothers-in-laws; and many friends. Delores was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Brenda Lorenz; two great grandchildren, Madeline Sivanich and Samuel Allen Krueger; and a sister, Mary (Don) Pape.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman. The Rev. Michael Gorman will officiate. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Cemetery of Glencoe, rural Arcadia, Wis.
Friends may call at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Monday from 4 until 7 p.m., where a prayer service will be held at 5 p.m., and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Leone Frances Erbe

LEWISTON, Minn. — Leone Frances Erbe, 100, former Lewiston resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Samaritan Bethany Heights in Rochester.
She was born Aug. 29, 1907, in Elgin to Herman and Emma (Wandry) Bartz. Leone and Elmer Erbe were married Sept. 5, 1936, in Elgin. They later moved to Lewiston. Leone stayed home to raise her children, later working at Camera Art of Lewiston for many years. Elmer died in 1974.
Leone was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of its Ladies Aid of Lewiston. She was also involved in the Lewiston Flower Society.
Survivors include two children, Carolyn McCormick (Steve Cothran) of Glendale, Ariz., and Lowell “Bud” (Diane) Erbe of St. Charles; four grandchildren, Dee Erbe and Jen Erbe both of St. Charles, Gary Overton of Lawrence, Kan., and Michael Overton of Glendale, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren, Ana Sievers, Carsen, Cole and Chase Overton and Victoria and Samantha Overton; three nieces, Jean Schultz, Norma Milling and Marlys Kitzman; two nephews, Mike and Randy Bartz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; a brother, Fred Bartz; and sisters, Alta Bartz and Dorothy Boie.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston, with the Rev. David A. Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
