12:14 p.m. — Police responded to a possible arson in a laundry room above Brothers Bar at 129 W. Third St. A witness reported seeing smoke coming from the room after a person, possibly a juvenile, exited. The fire was contained in a trash box with a fire extinguisher, and there was no other damage.
12:25 p.m. — An employee at Wells Fargo Bank at 930 Parks Ave. was accused of bank fraud after transferring $1,300 to a customer’s credit account and then transferring the money to his personal account. Police are continuing to investigate because the crime seems to be “more complicated” than that, Police Chief Frank Pomeroy said.
11:03 p.m. — Barry Gene Huffman, 46, of Winona was pulled over near Huff and Fifth streets for driving without headlights on. Huffman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, and a breath test found his blood-alcohol concentration to be 0.118 percent.
