Christina Anne Wevley, 28, was charged Thursday with six felony counts of selling marijuana in a public housing zone and two counts of gross misdemeanor child endangerment. She was not arrested but has been summoned to appear in Winona County District Court on Aug. 14.
A police informant performed five controlled buys of marijuana at Wevley’s apartment in the 1750 block of Kraemer Drive between April 3 and May 6, according to the criminal complaint made available to the media Tuesday. Her “two young children” were present during at least one of the buys, the complaint states.
The informant bought a total of 17.81 grams of marijuana for about $120, the complaint shows. The informant told police that Wevley kept her stash in an ice cream container in the kitchen, which appeared to contain between about 110 grams and 140 grams of marijuana.
Police executed a search warrant on Wevley’s apartment on May 7 and found several bags of marijuana containing 62.05 grams of the drug, two digital scales, $50 cash and a glass pipe containing marijuana residue, according to the complaint.
Police cited her for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the time and referred her to the county attorney’s office for the felony and gross misdemeanor charges.
