Cotter Band brings home 3 first places

The Cotter band returned to Winona on June 29 from a weekend of competitive performances in which it marched to three first-place finishes in as many appearances.

The band placed first in Class AA competition and earned the Grand Champion Award for top finisher in the June 27 Rochesterfest Parade, and took top honors in the June 28 Osseo Band Festival.
As one of 21 bands competing in the prestigious Alexandria Vikingland Band Festival, the Cotter band finished first in Class A competition and swept the event’s caption awards with Best Winds, Best Percussion and Best Colorguard.
