LeJetz dominate Stillwater

.
STILLWATER, Minn. — The Winona LeJetz American Legion baseball team won the third and final game of its series against Stillwater Sunday in convincing fashion by demolishing Stillwater 13-0 in five innings.

The LeJetz (14-9) pounded out 16 hits and used a 10-run second inning to pull away. Winona got nine hits, three of them were triples.
“We put on quite a display,” LeJetz coach Gary Hoeppner said. “We hit the cover off the ball.”

Ryan Speltz did well on the mound for Winona, going five innings, striking out one and walking three.

“Speltz threw a good game,” Hoeppner said. “He wasn’t overpowering, but he settled in and threw strikes.”

Arran Davis went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs, Speltz finished 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs and Andy Wolfe went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs for the LeJetz.

Jeff Walters, Devon Grossell and Brandon Schmit had two hits and an RBI apiece for Winona.
