Isabelle T. Harte, 98, of Winona died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare, Winona. She was born in Belfast, Ireland, on July 14, 1909, the daughter of James and Jean (McNaughton) Dawson.
She came to the United States in 1949 and has resided in Minneapolis; eight years in Spring Hill, Fla.; and since 2001 here in Winona.
Isabelle was joined in marriage to Patrick J. Harte in Belfast, Ireland, on Sept. 27, 1936. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1988.
She is survived by a son, Kevin (JoAnne) Harte of St. Paul, Minn.; daughters, Mary (Lew) Jacobs of Richfield, Minn., and Patricia (Dr. Dennis) Nolan of Winona; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Topping, Pauline Walsh and Eileen Dawson, all of Belfast, Ireland; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Harte of Sacramento, Calif.; and also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, James; and a brother, James.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be on Saturday, July 5, at noon in the Chapel of Saint Anne Extended Heathcare, with the Rev. Robert Stamschror officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Winona. Friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. to time of services at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare.
Casketbearers will be Kevin Harte, Matt and John Nolan and Michael Jacobs.

‘Gone fishing’

Jim Banicki died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the VA hospital in Grand Junction, Colo.
He will be missed by his wife, Janet of Montrose, Colo.; his mother, Ann Banicki; his children, Shelly (Peter) Beaumont and Scott Banicki; stepdaughter, Shawna Hardesty; his brothers, John (Rita) Banicki, Bob (Deb) Banicki, Ric (Lynn) Banicki and Joe Banicki; and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jim was a respected bass fisherman and artist. He loved to cook, golf, garden, and work with wood, rocks and semi-precious stones.
The family will be purchasing a memorial brick at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Winona. In respect of Jim’s wishes, the family will not hold a memorial service but are going fishing.

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Alix Nicole Suhr, 18, and her unborn child, of Gillette, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in a car accident.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Gillette Memorial Chapel, with a vigil/prayer service beginning at 6 p.m.

ARCADIA, Wis. — Allen Finner, 74, of Arcadia died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at the Grandview Nursing Home, Blair, Wis.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cortland Cemetery, rural Arcadia.

COLORADO — Leonard E. Sholing, 60, was killed in a motor vehicle accident Monday, June 30, 2008, west of Telluride, Colo.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Miller Carlin Funeral Home, St. Cloud, Minn., 3013 Roosevelt Road.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.
